The success story of Balkrishna Tyres, well know as BKT, begun when it entered into production of off-highway tyres in 1995. With the help of intensive market research & production capabilities, BKT made its mark in the niche segments and offers tyres for Agricultural, Construction, Industrial & Earthmover applications. BKT has the widest niche product range containing more that 1500 SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) and boasts of having One Stop Shop for Off-highway tyres. The Agriculture range starts at 12 inches bead diameter up to 48 inches bead diameter and Industrial/Construction/Earthmover Range starts from 8 inches bead diameter to 35 inches bead diameter. The company has the capability to develop over 100 new sizes every year coupled with a low turn around time of 8 to 10 weeks for new product development.With introduction of Flotation Radial tyres under the AGRIMAX brand and the pattern name of FL-630, BKT enters into another niche segment, which is currently being catered by very few manufacturers. The Tractor radial tyres range is slated to expand from 85 series (launched in 2004) to 70 series, 65 series and finally the 95 series. And now BKT is expanding fast. Not far from Bhiwadi (northern India), where BKT has its second factory, it is building a third factory for radial agri-tyres as well as large earthmover tyres.
