Vanilla extract is a light brown to deep brown thick liquid. Its scent is creamy and sweet. The major chemical constituents of the natural product are vanillin, hydroxybenzaldehyde, acetic acid, isobutyric acid, caproic acid, eugenol, and furfural, and others.
