Dextran CAS number 9004-54-0 is a polymer of glucose, also known as dextran or dextran. It is a viscous complex produced by microorganisms and is one of the raw materials for making drugs. It can combine with iron to produce iron dextran, which is used to treat iron deficiency anemia.
